Job Summary

Remitee a rapidly growing international Fintech focused on cross-border payments is looking for a Tax Specialist to join our Accounting team.

As a Tax Specialist you will be responsible for managing tax obligations supporting compliance processes and collaborating closely with Accounting Finance and external advisors to ensure Remitee meets all tax requirements in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare review and support tax filings and returns (corporate income tax VAT withholding taxes etc.).

Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

Support tax calculations provisions and reconciliations in coordination with the Accounting team.

Assist in tax audits inspections and requests from tax authorities.

Collaborate with external tax advisors and consultants when required.

Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess their impact on the business.

Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany tax matters (if applicable).

Contribute to the improvement of tax processes controls and documentation.

What Were Looking For

Must have:

Degree in Accounting or a related field.

Proven experience in a tax role preferably in a multi-country environment.

Strong knowledge of corporate taxes VAT and withholding taxes.

Experience working with accounting systems and tax reporting processes.

High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.

Nice to have:

Experience in fintech financial services or regulated industries.

Experience with tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions is a strong plus particularly in Argentina Chile Peru Colombia Spain the United States and Mexico.

Familiarity with transfer pricing and international tax matters.

Experience working with external auditors and tax advisors.

Advanced Excel skills or experience with financial systems/ERPs.

Professional certifications in tax or accounting (CPA CTA or similar).
