About the Role

Our client is modernizing core registry services through an agile human-centric and cloud-based digital transformation program. This initiative focuses on replacing legacy enterprise systems with modern secure and user-friendly digital services.

We are seeking an experienced Service Owner to lead agile product teams drive user-centric design and oversee the end-to-end delivery of digital services. This role plays a key part in transforming complex legislated services while ensuring measurable business and client outcomes.

What Youll Do
  • Lead agile product teams through discovery design testing and implementation of digital services.

  • Own service outcomes and ensure solutions meet client business and legislative requirements.

  • Redesign operational processes to support digital service delivery.

  • Identify risks dependencies and barriers to change and recommend mitigation strategies.

  • Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and quality assurance activities.

  • Support evaluation of outcomes including operational efficiencies and cost savings.

  • Champion agile and digital delivery practices across programs.

  • Lead product demonstrations and communicate progress to stakeholders and governance bodies.

  • Collaborate with technology partners to support the replacement of high-risk legacy systems.

  • Contribute to strategic product roadmaps and long-term sustainability planning.

What You Bring
  • 5 years of experience working with business stakeholders IT partners and subject matter experts.

  • 5 years of experience documenting user requirements business processes and workflows.

  • 5 years in leadership facilitation or product ownership roles.

  • Strong experience delivering complex IT or digital transformation initiatives.

  • Proven experience working in Agile or Hybrid delivery environments (SCRUM).

  • Experience with tools such as JIRA or similar agile delivery platforms.

  • Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

  • Experience interpreting and applying complex legislation policies or regulatory frameworks.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to Have
  • Bachelors degree in Business Information Technology or a related field.

  • Product Owner certification (CSPO PSPO).

  • Project or change management experience.

  • Experience evaluating programs policies or enterprise initiatives.

  • Knowledge of registry-based or highly regulated systems.

Work Details
  • Standard hours: Monday Friday Alberta business hours.

  • Primarily remote with occasional in-person meetings (up to four per year as required)
