Title: Maintenance Technician III
Pay Rate: $35.00 $40.00/hr DOE

Schedule: Monday Friday 40 hours/week
Location: San Jose CA (100% Onsite)
Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Maintenance Technician III to work onsite with our client a global leader in advanced data storage technology. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.
This role supports HDD Pilot Line operations in San Jose and requires a technician with strong troubleshooting experience across mechanical electrical and software systems.
Responsibilities
Conduct complex troubleshooting and root-cause repair of down equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
Provide solutions for recurring technical issues and equipment performance deficiencies.
Execute preventive maintenance per specifications and safety procedures.
Thoroughly document corrective actions repairs performed and equipment-related issues.
Work on routine semi-routine and highly complex assignments requiring judgment and analytical skill.
Assist with regular production tasks when required.
Continually develop skills through formal training and hands-on technical problem-solving.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Thorough understanding of mechanical electro-mechanical hardware and software systems within a development or manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings wiring diagrams and technical operating/safety documentation.
Strong English reading writing and verbal communication.
Technical understanding of Hard Disk Drives (HDD) and components.
Minimum AA degree in Electronics Computer Engineering or a related technical field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificate from a vocational or trade school in computer technology or hardware/software maintenance preferred.
6 years of recent hands-on experience supporting and repairing assembly or test equipment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Windows OS Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint.
Strong manual dexterity for assembling adjusting or repairing fine mechanical/electronic components.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with HDD cleanroom tooling and HDD-related test equipment.
Strong cross-functional troubleshooting experience including mechanical electrical and software log analysis.
