Location: Oswestry SY11

Salary: Up to 50000 (depending on experience and qualifications) time saved individual bonus

Monday to Friday 8am-5pm 42.5 hours a week no weekends!

Our client is a well-established excellent Shropshire brand - Incorporated in 1918 they have over 105 years of retailing vehicles in Shropshire enjoying a long and well-earned reputation for quality vehicles and excellent customer service.

They operate 3 franchise dealerships across Shropshire representing 4 manufacturers car and van brands.

Position:

They are seeking a skilled and experienced Panel Beater to join their reputable accident repair centre offering an excellent work-life balance with no weekend work. This role is perfect for a professional with experience in all aspects of bodywork to include welded and bonded panel replacement.

Job Duties:

• Strip and refit parts where necessary ensuring proper panel alignment and adjustments.
  
• Identify and report any damage not included in the original job scope.
  
• Assess and report on vehicle structure and paintwork.
  
• Ensure completed vehicles comply with safety standards.
  
• Handle the safe removal and storage/disposal of vehicle components fluids and gases.
  
• Complete quality control inspections and sign-offs at each repair stage.
  
• Follow repair methods (e.g. e-scribe manufacturer guidance) and ensure they are visible on the job.
  
• Use protective coverings (seat covers foot mats) on all vehicles.
  
• Perform filler repairs to a P180 finish checking for pinholes.
  
• Apply underseal weld-through primers and anti-corrosion treatments as required.
  
• Maintain tools and equipment and report any defects to your line manager.
  

Experience Required:

• Previous experience in a similar panel beating role
  
• Manufacturer training/qualifications (preferred)
  
• Current AOM009 welding certificate or BS equivalent
  
• Experience in MIG brazing spot welding riveting and bonding techniques
  
• Awareness of high-strength and Boron steels
  
• Light MET qualification linked to ATA (advantageous)
  
• Bonding certification (advantageous)
  
• Full UK Driving Licence
  
• A proactive can-do attitude and a strong team player
