The Role
As a React Native Engineer you are part of a Software development team and youll analyze requirements provided by the teams ProductOwner design and develop technical solutions or processes do unit testingmaintain and improve productioncodecontribute to the performance improvementworkkeep the projects technical documentation up todate while minimizing manual processes and providing automated solutions.
Reporting to a Engineering Manager in a Blip team formed by 4 to 5 Developers and 1 QA you will use technology as a basis to deliver amazing value to our customers while scaling our platform to meet the demands of worldwide markets.
What Youll be Doing
Design develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native as part of an agile team with short iterations and frequent releases.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams on planning architecture and implementation.
Ensure code quality through unit testing peer reviews and continuous integration.
Identify and implement performance improvements across app components and user experiences.
Keep technical documentation up to date and contribute to process automation and improvement.
Stay current with emerging technologies and platform updates in React Native Android and iOS.
Participate in knowledge sharing technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
What Youll Bring
Awareness or previous experience in using agile methodologies.
Strong experience developing high-quality performant mobile applications with React Native
Solid understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript.
Experience integrating with native modules; knowledge of Swift Objective-C Java or Kotlin is a plus.
Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks (e.g. Jest Detox) and automated testing practices.
Knowledge of build tools (e.g. NPM Yarn Metro Bundler) and .
Strong understanding of clean code principles and design patterns.
Exposure to agile methodologies and collaborative software development.
Passion for delivering performant high-quality consumer products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (e.g. React Navigation Redux state management API integration).
Experience with mobile app deployment (e.g. App Store/Play Store processes CI/CD for mobile).
Knowledge of mobile performance optimization (e.g. Memory Management Bundle Size Rendering Optimization).
Proactiveness and being able to coach and mentor their colleagues.Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities and rapid change.
