We require someone with initiative who is hardworking flexible and highly motivated to take responsibility for providing the highest possible standards of cleanliness and maintenance of our learning environment.
Some of the main duties include;
- Monitor operate and maintain appropriate site security systems including opening the building at the beginning of the school day lettings outside school hours and liasing with the external security company regarding call outs as necessary to provide satisfactory security arrangements.
- Efficient maintenance of the building and site including liaising with contractors.
- Can carry out minor repairs general maintenance and decorating capably and follow a planned maintenance programme.
- Maintain and monitor Health and Safety standards reporting any failures to comply with the schools statutory obligations in this area and ensure that contractors work meets Health and safety Regulations.
- Knowledge of COSHH and Safe Work Practices.
- Have a willingness to attend training courses including Health and Safety.
- Certain administrative duties are required to ensure that statutory documentation is kept up to date.
- Monitor site stock and order supplies.
- Cleaning duties as required.
Typical hours will be worked Mon-Friday 7.30 am to 1.30pm. This is a 30 hour per week position. We are committed to supporting work-life balance and are open to discussing how these hours can be structured flexibly around school operations provided all responsibilities are met effectively. Holidays to be taken outside of term time.
