Job Summary
About the position
Reporting to the Coordinator Technical Services the Technical Support Officer Environmental is responsible for providing technical advice related to stormwater infrastructure water courses and wetlands within Council and advise on best practice guidelines for environmental management of waterways.
The key aspects of the role include:
Provide sound technical advice to internal stakeholders relating to the maintenance of stormwater infrastructure wetlands and creeks.
Undertake inspections and ensure asset performance of side entry pits pipes and gross pollutant trap (GPT) is maintained and condition assessment report is provided to the coordinator in accordance to procedures.
Inspect stormwater infrastructure validate asset attributes
Assist the Team Leader in the review and scheduling of the annual stormwater maintenance and creek rehabilitation programs.
Assist in the review of requests regarding non-compliant stormwater connections. Assist in sending out non-compliance notices to residents recording information in Councils corporate systems.

About you
Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (Networks) or similar or equivalent demonstrated relevant experience
South Australian Class C Drivers Licence
Work Zone Traffic Management (WZTM) / Temporary Traffic Management (TTM)
Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment and National Criminal History Check.

Salary range is between $83751 - $89871 plus superannuation guarantee and will be negotiated commensurate with skills experience and qualifications.
