QA Contractor

What youll be doing:

• Build and enhance bespoke automated QA solutions for our clients
• Deliver high quality best practice software solutions
• Use a range of architectures tools and frameworks
• Have the opportunity to learn and gain certification in new technologies
• Recommend implement and knowledge share new ideas and innovations
• Work as part of a dynamic team liaising directly with clients
• Produce clean and efficient solutions based on specifications

Please note this role will require 3 days per week on-site in Belfast. 

Qualifications :

Essential requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experience in a QA role
• Demonstrable experience creating and maintaining comprehensive test plans test cases and test data across backend (e.g. Python Java kdb Postgres) and frontend (e.g. React) systems.
• Strong programming skills for automation of manual test plans.
• Solid knowledge of SDLC agile and appropriate tooling
• Ability to collaborate with product owners developers and other QA team members to define and execute test plans and strategies.
• Use of Gherkin/Cucumber for testing in a Behaviour Driven Development environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with development team to find and fix bugs.
• Ability to analyse document and track bugs.
• Basic SQL skills for data investigation

Desirable requirements (highly advantageous but not essential):

• Basic kdb knowledge/willingness to learn kdb
• Use of AWS infrastructure and UNIX/Linux skills 
• Prior experience of working in Capital Markets/Investment Banking
