Job Summary
Supports resort operations by performing maintenance duties such as projects preventive maintenance and work orders.
Duties
- Perform engineering projects guest calls preventative maintenance and repairs on plumbing electrical components HVAC systems and household appliances.
- Maintain interior and exterior surfaces including walls ceilings flooring and pools/spas.
- Operate and maintain resort equipment tools and software systems effectively and safely.
- Participate in procurement and inventory processes to ensure availability of necessary materials.
- Communicate professionally with guests and team members addressing needs and resolving issues promptly.
- Adhere to safety guidelines identify potential hazards and comply with all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by resort operations leadership.
- Conduct regular inspections of resort facilities to identify and report maintenance needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences during maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including work orders repairs and equipment servicing.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry standards and new technologies.
- Respond to emergency situations and perform necessary repairs or interventions as needed.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new engineering team members.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 1-3 years in Engineering/Maintenance operations in a resort or commercial environment.
- Must have and maintain valid Drivers license.
- CPO license as required by Resort
- High school diploma or general education degree GED.
- The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Follow instructions without close supervision.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Required to pass a background screen drug test and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
