The Director of Transformation will lead critical change initiatives that enable AbbVies long-term strategic and operational objectives. This role is responsible for shaping leading and sustaining comprehensive transformation programs in partnership with executive leaders ensuring alignment with business priorities and driving significant improvements in business outcomes operational efficiency and organizational agility.
The Director will be accountable for leading high-performing teams fostering talent development and ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration. The Director will serve as an advisor to senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in the biopharma industry leadership and change management skills and a demonstrated passion for leading teams to deliver enterprise-wide return the Transformation Team offers the opportunity to lead high-profile high-impact projects and further develop executive leadership capabilities across the drug development and commercialization value chain.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for enterprise-wide AI-driven transformation initiatives ensuring these projects align with AbbVies long-term commercial and operational goals.
- Collaborate with executive stakeholders across Commercial R&D IT and other areas to identify critical business needs guide AI adoption roadmaps and remove implementation barriers.
- Advance complex initiatives including researching and problem-solving with stakeholders distilling insights and pragmatic recommendations to inform data-backed solutions to mission-critical topics for AbbVies future success.
- Build lead and mentor high performing teams with expertise in AI analytics and change management fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Prepare executive-level communications and present recommendations to AbbVie leadership.
- Foster a culture of innovation inclusion and agility within AbbVie.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or equivalent degree required. Advanced degree (PharmD PhD MD MBA) highly preferred.
- Minimum years of experience: 8 with Bachelors 6 with Masters and/or 4 with Doctorate
- Experience managing large projects within a complex matrixed organization as a consultant to a pharmaceutical organization either as an external consultant or an internal cross-functional lead.
- Demonstrated ability to present data and metrics to executive leadership teams that will lead to better business outcomes.
- Recognized team player with proven facilitative leadership skills in a cross-functional global team environment. Proven performance in a matrix environment with ability to influence and align stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to interact externally and internally to support business strategy.
- Strong analytical skills. Recognized ability to evaluate complex issues from multiple perspectives to ensure that balanced risk assessments are made.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
