Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to drive sales growth and expand market presence across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on market development lead generation distributor support and product approvals within the power generation and heavy equipment sector.
The ideal candidate will bring strong market knowledge in KSA established industry connections and solid technical understanding of engines generator sets (gensets) and related mechanical/electrical systems.
Lead Generation & Opportunity Management
Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research networking events and cold calling
Maintain a structured sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-ups
Product Approvals & Registrations
Manage product registrations and approvals with government entities consultants and private clients
Coordinate with manufacturers distributors and regional teams to complete approval processes
Distributor & Partner Management
Support and collaborate with the local distributor on joint sales and marketing initiatives
Build strong working relationships to ensure alignment on growth targets and service quality
Market Research & Intelligence
Conduct market analysis to identify trends opportunities and competitor activities
Provide actionable market insights to management for strategic planning
Reporting & Documentation
Track and report sales activities lead status and pipeline progress
Share customer feedback and market developments with senior management
Strategy Execution
Support the implementation of business development strategies to achieve market penetration and revenue growth
Assist in initiatives that enhance brand visibility and distributor performance
Experience: 35 years in sales or business development within power generation heavy equipment machinery or related engineering industries
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of engines generator sets (gensets) and mechanical/electrical systems
Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineers consultants and clients
Industry Exposure: Power generation machinery or construction equipment sectors
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English
Analytical Skills: Strong market research and data analysis capabilities
Education: Bachelors degree (preferably in Mechanical Electrical or Industrial Engineering)
