Schedule: Day Shift MondayFriday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week (58)
Pay Package:
Gross Weekly: $3014
W2 Rate: $40/hr
Weekly Stipend: $1414
Position Overview
The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients developing individualized treatment plans and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions in an acute and/or outpatient hospital setting. This role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients physical conditions and functional limitations.
Develop implement and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
Provide therapeutic exercises manual therapy and patient education to promote recovery and mobility.
Document evaluations treatment sessions progress notes and discharge summaries accurately and timely.
Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans home exercise programs and injury prevention.
Maintain compliance with departmental policies regulatory standards and safety guidelines.
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and quality improvement initiatives as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist (2 years preferred).
Outpatient physical therapy experience preferred.
Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy (or higher).
Active New York State Physical Therapist license in good standing.
Strong clinical assessment documentation and treatment planning skills.
Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities.
Must meet all pre-employment health credentialing and compliance requirements.
