Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading built environment consultancy delivering cost management and commercial services across a diverse range of projects. The role offers exposure to high-profile developments and the chance to work within a collaborative professional team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide cost planning estimating and budgeting services throughout the project lifecycle

  • Prepare tender documentation bills of quantities and procurement strategies

  • Evaluate tenders prepare tender reports and assist with contractor selection

  • Manage project costs valuations variations and final accounts

  • Monitor financial performance and provide regular cost reports to clients

  • Support contract administration and commercial risk management

  • Liaise with clients consultants and contractors to ensure successful project delivery

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying Commercial Management or a related discipline

  • Relevant experience in a consultancy or client-side environment

  • Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract

  • Competent in cost management software and Microsoft Office

  • Excellent analytical communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Desirable

  • Chartered status (MRICS) or working towards professional accreditation

  • Experience across a variety of sectors such as commercial residential healthcare or infrastructure

  • Understanding of sustainability and value engineering principles
