Description
As a Locum MD in Radiology you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and interpreting medical images to assist in patient care. Your expertise will be essential in collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate assessments and timely patient management. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays MRIs and CT scans
- Interpret medical images and provide accurate reports
- Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss findings and treatment options
- Maintain a high level of patient care and safety
- Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
- Provide mentorship and training to junior staff as needed
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Radiology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Texas
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Previous locum tenens experience is a plus
- Level I Trauma
Flexible Schedule: Day night swing and weekend shifts available
Beeper call coverage required
Total Annual Volume: 364000 mixed reads
Skillsets: DX IR or mammo
EMR: Epic
PACS/RIS: Radiant and Cupid
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
