Description Of Job Duties
The Graduate Assistant (GA) for the Office of Student Life supports programs and services that enhance student engagement leadership development and campus community. The GA assists with planning and implementing events managing administrative tasks and supporting day-to-day operations of the office. Responsibilities include maintaining records and communication helping facilitate workshops creating promotional materials and collaborating with campus partners. The GA also provides direct support to students ensures timely responses to inquiries and contributes to a welcoming and inclusive environment. Some evening and weekend hours may be required for events Case Management Support Conduct initial intake conversations gather relevant information and route students to the appropriate campus or community resource. Perform accurate data entry of student cases into tracking systems to ensure all interactions and referrals are documented. Assist basic needs programs (e.g. Operation Hope and Help emergency fund requests and community referrals). Social Media & Communication Manage and grow the Student Life social media presence with content that highlights campus events student resources involvement opportunities and wellness initiatives. Create short videos graphics and student-spotlight content. Work with campus partners to ensure messaging is consistent and timely. Track engagement trends and recommend creative approaches to reach students. Administrative and Operational Support Provide general administrative support. Assist with assessment efforts by tracking outreach data social media analytics and basic needs utilization. Help prepare presentations reports and materials for staff meetings parent/family communications and student events. Provide office coverage and support for walk-in student concerns.
Job Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Must be enrolled in a graduate program and in good academic standing. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Basic administrative and organizational skills. Experience with Microsoft Oce or Google Workspace. Demonstrated commitment to diversity inclusion and student support. Preferred Qualifications Experience in student aairs leadership programs or event planning. Prior involvement in student organizations or campus activities. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Skills in social media marketing or graphic design. Experience mentoring students.
