Job Summary | Under the general supervision of the Energy and Resilience Manager with direct guidance from the Waste Management Analyst the student assistant will play an active role in the day to day operations of campus Waste Management. Campus Waste management provides a myriad of services relating to the proper disposal and diversion of the Universities various waste and recyclable materials. The Student Assistant will have a multitude of area-specific duties and responsibilities including but not limited to: - General office support i.e. copying scanning and filing. - On hand support to Waste management functions including but not limited to sweeping and maintaining waste enclosures picking up toners/supplies and assisting with e-waste pickups. - Ability to operate small carts and vehicles and assist with transportation and pick up of materials around campus. - May also assist with campus Auction and Organics programs. - Other duties as assigned. |
Minimum Qualifications | Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty staff and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position. |
Required Qualifications | - Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
- Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated) or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
- In good academic standing (not on academic probation continued probation academic dismissal).
- Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
