Description
Vanguard Skin Specialists strives to be a center of excellence for dermatologic care. As such Vanguard desires to attract retain and motivate talented providers and staff. This position is for an experienced APP looking to transition into dermatology through a rigorous training process with board-certified dermatologists.
In accordance with SB 23-083 that revised the CO Medical Practice Act PAs with <3000 hours in a new practice area will have a collaborative agreement that is a supervisory agreement. Vanguard upholds high standards in dermatology care. Thus the requirements at Vanguard for a PA new to a practice area exceed the requirements under the revised CO Medical Practice Act.
Supervisor & Location:
The primary training physician will function as the supervising physician for the initial 3000 hours in the practice area. This position is for the following offices: Pueblo La Junta and any additional clinic sites assigned.
Training period:
The training period is 2 years. Exceptional candidates may complete the program earlier but no earlier than 3000 clinic hours and 1.5 years.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation will increase by phase starting at $120000. Timing will depend on a providers dermatology medical decision-making and clinical volume. Additional benefits include medical benefits 401K paid time off malpractice and CME. Other benefits are in accordance with Vanguards benefits policy.
>4 years work experience as a PA or NP preferably in primary care
Reside in Pueblo or surrounding communities
Have track record of strong performance
Be willing to take a training approach that requires mastering the basic building blocks of a clinical position
