Job Summary
The Birches Academy of Academics & Art is a STEAM integrated charter school in Salem NH. We are seeking a Part Time Teaching Assistants to assist a Lead Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The hours are from 8:30 AM to 11 AM Monday through Friday. Assist the Lead Teacher in the implementation of a rigorous core academic program Assist the Lead Teacher to integrate STEAM into the core curriculum Instruct and facilitate student learning Foster critical thinking in students Provide emotionally and developmentally appropriate experiences for students Adjust instruction to engage/challenge learners encourage independent learning & to develop a lifelong love of learning in students Assist in the supervision of student lunch and recess periods Work as a professional member of a grade level teaching team Assist the Lead Teacher in meeting individual needs of each student *At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred Bachelor degree preferred but not necessary Citizenship residency or work visa requiredThis is not a special ed/para position and is good experience for someone who may want to become a Teacher
