EARLY COLLEGE COORDINATOR
The Early College Coordinator will be the central figure in developing implementing and managing the Early College Leominster program. This crucial role involves direct collaboration with district leadership guidance staff and higher education partners to ensure students have access to and succeed in college-level coursework accelerating their path to a degree. We are seeking a highly organized dynamic individual with a passion for student success and equity in education.
Key Responsibilities
The Early College Coordinator will be responsible for the following areas:
- Program Development & Administration:
- Work in conjunction with District and School administrators and guidance teams to build and refine comprehensive Early College programs and pathways that align with student interests and workforce needs.
- Coordinate all materials reporting activities and related events specific to the Early College Leominster program ensuring compliance and smooth operation.
- Higher Education Partnership Management:
- Act as the primary Liaison with Higher Education partners specifically Mount Wachusett Community College and Fitchburg State University managing logistics course enrollment and communication to sustain robust partnership agreements.
- Student and Family Support:
- Plan and facilitate events for students and families (e.g. orientation sessions academic workshops information nights) that will support their enrollment transition and long-term success in Early College programs.
- Serve as the Point of contact for students and families involved in the Early College program providing guidance addressing concerns and connecting them with necessary resources.
- Recruitment and Awareness:
- Conduct Outreach to middle schools and grade nine and ten students to build Early College awareness and promote available opportunities focusing on equitable access for all interested and eligible students.
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience in program coordination project management or educational administration.
- Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations of students parents faculty and administrators.
- Bachelors degree in Education Counseling Public Administration or a related field.
Preferred:
- Experience working with Early College programs.
- Knowledge of Massachusetts public school and higher education systems.
Non-union position
Work year 200 days (mirror teacher school year with 3 additional weeks
Starting salary $50000. Benefits offered.
