Job Summary
Business Analyst
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Columbia SC 29201 Onsite (5 days/week)
Note: Candidate must be a current South Carolina resident. No relocation.
Position Overview
Navitas Partners LLC is seeking Business Analystfor an exciting job in Columbia SC.
Daily Duties & Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison between business teams and IT to translate needs into actionable solutions.
Analyze business operations to identify strengths weaknesses and opportunities for process automation or improvement.
Support business process redesign efforts and maintain accurate documentation.
Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
Manage requirement changes and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide guidance to technical and testing teams on requirements and business rules.
Conduct data analysis define data requirements and document relationships.
Maintain business rules requirements and models in appropriate repositories.
Identify and mitigate risks issues and action items.
Collaborate with vendors state/federal agencies stakeholders and other partners.
Support buy-vs-build evaluations and conduct necessary research.
Perform other project-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
7 years of experience in commercial healthcare.
3 years of experience integrating and delivering State Medicaid payer systems.
Strong understanding of cross-functional project operations.
Familiarity with MITA (Medicaid Information Technology Architecture) business architecture.
Knowledge of standard data structures EDI processes and related file formats.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to innovate and improve processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
High attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a diverse professional environment.
Education
Bachelors degree in a technical business or healthcare-related field.
Preferred Skills
Subject matter expertise in Medicaid or healthcare insurance (projects or operations).
MMIS project or operations experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project or Project Server.
