Job Summary

Northwest Talent Solutions is partnering with a confidential aerospace and defense organization to hire an Advanced Software Engineer supporting secure mission-critical cybersecurity management applications. This is a fully on-site role for engineers who enjoy working on complex systems that directly support national security missions.

In this role you will join a collaborative cross-functional engineering team building and enhancing high-reliability software used in regulated security-focused environments. You will work with modern development tools and frameworks while contributing to systems that demand performance accuracy and resilience.

What Youll Do:

Design develop and enhance enterprise-grade software applications
Work with Java and enterprise Java technologies in a secure environment
Build and integrate backend services using Spring Hibernate and SQL-based databases
Contribute to frontend functionality using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React)
Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver high-quality well-tested software
Apply secure coding practices throughout the development lifecycle

What Were Looking For

Bachelors degree in software engineering or a related STEM field
5 years of professional software development experience
Strong experience with Java / Enterprise Java
Working knowledge of Spring Hibernate and SQL/PostgreSQL
Experience with JavaScript and React preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fully on-site team-based environment
U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
