Job Summary

The Application Engineer will play a key role in providing technical expertise to clients and internal teams ensuring the seamless integration and optimization of software applications. You will be responsible for understanding customer requirements troubleshooting issues and offering solutions for complex application challenges all while working remotely. Your contribution will ensure that our applications meet the highest standards of functionality performance and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Support & Troubleshooting:

Provide remote technical support to customers by diagnosing troubleshooting and resolving application-related issues in a timely manner. Address complex application issues working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement solutions. Assist clients in configuring and optimizing applications to meet their specific business needs.

Implementation & Integration:

Collaborate with development and project management teams to implement application solutions. Manage the installation setup and integration of software solutions with client systems ensuring smooth deployment. Work with clients to customize and configure applications to align with their workflow and requirements.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:

Develop detailed documentation for application setups troubleshooting guides and best practices. Contribute to the creation of knowledge base articles and training materials for internal teams and customers. Conduct webinars or workshops to enhance customer understanding of the application functionalities.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

Monitor the performance of applications and identify areas for optimization and improvement. Collect user feedback and conduct thorough analysis to suggest enhancements or upgrades. Work with the product development team to implement performance improvements and bug fixes.

Customer Relationship Management:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive communication and support. Understand client needs and provide tailored recommendations to maximize the value of the application. Assist in the training of clients or end-users to ensure successful application adoption.

Collaboration with Product and Development Teams:

Work closely with product managers developers and other engineers to provide insights and feedback from customers. Act as a bridge between clients and technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives. Participate in the early stages of application development by providing input on design and functionality based on customer needs.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

Conduct application testing and validation to ensure software quality and functionality. Report bugs or issues discovered during testing to the development team ensuring prompt resolution. Support quality assurance efforts by running functional regression and performance tests.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

Proven experience (2 years) as an Application Engineer Technical Support Engineer or similar role.

Solid understanding of software development and application lifecycle processes.

Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g. Java Python C SQL).

Strong experience in troubleshooting complex software and system issues.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure) and software integration techniques.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with specific application frameworks technologies or tools used by the company.

Experience working remotely and managing time effectively in a virtual team environment.

Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g. Jira Trello).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
