Top ENR firm is looking to add a motivated Road Engineer Lead to their Indianapolis office!
Responsibilities:
- Schedule/direct team
- Work on multiple projects at once
- Oversee project from start to finish
- Create a complete set of contract documents including plans specifications quantities and estimates
- Participate in meetings including preparing meeting agendas and taking notes
- Maintain regular contact with clients
- Manage sub-consultants
- Coordinate tasks with internal departments
- Manage costs to ensure profitability
- Work with clients to identify additional work beyond the original scope of contract
- Assemble supplements proposals and engineers reports
- Certify contract plans/designs
- Meet all deadlines
- Identify and communicate problems related to the project
- Prepare project status reports
- Create a team schedule
- Manage monthly invoicing and quarterly invoice projections
- Review weekly team timesheets
- Evaluate staff performance and identify training needs
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- 8 years of Transportation Engineering experience
- PE License or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Proficient in use of Indiana Design Manual INDOT Specifications Book INDOT Standard Drawings INDOT Utility Coordination and INDOT Pavement Design processes
- Working knowledge of the INDOT Environmental process INDOT Permitting process and the INDOT Land Acquisition process
- Proficient with Microsoft Word Excel Outlook Projects and ACAD software
Salary is commensurate with experience.
