Job summary: The Variable Compensation Analyst plays a key role in designing administering and analyzing variable compensation programs including bonuses commissions and incentive plans. This role ensures programs align with firm objectives comply with plan guidelines and remain competitive in the market. Youll also support the development and rollout of special programs and enhancements to commission or incentive plans.

Responsibilities
EssentialResponsibilities:
- Administer Programs: Manage variable compensation structures across departments (growth practice areas and teams).
- Maintain Documentation: Ensure individual and firmwide plan documents are accurate signed and properly archived.
- Roll Out Plans: Partner with HR and communication teams to launch programs and commission plans effectively.
- Analyze & Calculate: Review performance metrics and financial data to calculate incentive payouts accurately and on time following approval workflows and payroll deadlines.
- Benchmark & Advise: Conduct market and internal equity analyses to guide compensation decisions.
- Report & Communicate: Prepare dashboards and reports to share outcomes and trends with stakeholders.
- Innovate & Improve: Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities; participate in technology enablement initiatives.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to legal regulatory and internal policy requirements.
- Support Planning: Assist with annual compensation cycles and ad hoc incentive modeling.
- Educate & Guide: Provide training and guidance to leaders and associates on variable pay programs.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Education: Bachelors degree in Finance HR Business Administration or related field.
Experience:
- 35 years in compensation analysis with a focus on variable pay.
- Familiarity with sales compensation or commission-based structures.
- Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation.
Preferred: CCP certification.
Skills:
- Advanced Excel and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of compensation principles and regulatory considerations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data.
Key Competencies:
- Ability to plan prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability and creativity in navigating ambiguity.
- Strong written verbal and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.

The estimated base pay range for this role is $66000 - $89000 with offers typically not made at the maximum allowing for future salary increases.
