Job Summary
Due to an upcoming retirement a made-to-order manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to learn the companys manufacturing processes and become a key contributor to the companys continues success.
About the Role:
You will report to the Operations Manager and once thoroughly trained you will have 15-20 direct reports on a 410-hour day Monday-Thursday 6:00-4:30 shift.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the activities of your team to include making work assignments scheduling hours while making the most effective use of your teams time and talents.
- Direct and train employees on correct methods/procedures for assigned jobs
- Audit and review work for quality/completeness. Ensure the efficiency of the methods used in the production process.
- Inspect company equipment for safety problems and coordinate the necessaey repair work.
- Supervise the use and control of parts supplies and equipment.
- Ensure the adherence to all safety policies.
- Evaluate employee performance making recommendations for improvement when needed.
Your background should include:
- High school diploma. Prefer some college or technical training.
- 1-3 years of experience in any type of manufacturing supervision
- Solid mechanical ability
- Understanding of basic math and calculating percentages
- Ability to use hand tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to think conceptually and understand system requirements
