Job Description:
The AI Business System Analyst (AI BSA) acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams in designing implementing and optimizing AI-driven solutions. This role focuses on understanding business needs translating them into functional and technical requirements evaluating AI tools and ensuring successful delivery of machine learning automation and data analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
Engage with business stakeholders to understand objectives problems and opportunities where AI or automation can add value.
Document current-state workflows and design future-state processes enhanced by AI/ML solutions.
Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for data scientists developers and engineering teams.
Conduct feasibility assessments and cost-benefit analysis for AI use cases.
AI & Data Solution Support
Work closely with data scientists to understand model behavior data dependencies assumptions and performance.
Support dataset identification data quality assessments and data transformation requirements.
Participate in model testing validation and monitoring activities.
Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management
Act as product owner or business lead for AI initiatives ensuring alignment between business goals and technical solutions.
Manage user acceptance testing (UAT) including test scenarios test scripts and defect triage.
Facilitate communication between business technical and governance teams (e.g. IT data privacy risk).
Coordinate deployment planning rollout training and change management activities.
AI Governance & Risk
Ensure AI solutions adhere to compliance requirements such as model governance privacy fairness and explainability standards.
Document model purpose data lineage and risk mitigation strategies.
Support ongoing monitoring of model performance drift and audit requirements.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for automation optimization or scaling of AI solutions.
Benchmark industry trends in AI large-language models (LLMs) analytics platforms and intelligent automation.
Recommend tools platforms or vendor solutions that align with business strategy.
