Main Purpose of Job
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:Seven years of experience conducting criminal investigations including the preparation of analyses andreports for use in legal proceedings.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelors degree in the field of criminal justice criminology law enforcement or an allied health field (such as nursing pharmacy psychology social work nutrition dieteticsspeech pathology audiology) from an accredited college or university and three years of experience conducting criminalinvestigations including the preparation of analyses and reports for use in legal proceedings for the requiredexperience.
may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer inInvestigator Police andIntelligenceSpecialistclassifications or Investigator Police andIntelligencespecialty codes in the criminalinvestigation field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with interpersonal and interviewing skills
- Experience engaging in legal processes such as issuing subpoenas
- Experience using computer technology including Google Workspace
- Experience writing forensic reports
