The iconic Hotel del Coronadois looking for anEvent Manager to join the team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion the resort is more stunning than ever.
Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms cottages and villas with 65000 square feet of banquet space and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants 2 bars a food truck marketplace ice cream shop and in-room dining.
Classification:Full-Time
Shift: Various must be available to weekdays weekends and holidays.
Pay Rate:The pay range for this role is $29.00-$32.00 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing
An Event Manager at Hotel del Coronado Curio Collection by Hilton is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of banquet and catering events in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
As an Event Manager you would be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of banquet and catering eventsand grouproom blocksin the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Provide direction and supervision to departments to ensure successful execution of meetings and/or events
- Serve on-site group and catering clients and respond to questions about the event including but not limited to group room blocks food and beverage the function space ancillary and vendor services affiliates/exhibitors and related billing processes
- Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
- Respond to guest inquiries and special requests and resolve issues and concerns in a timely friendly and efficient manner
- Prepare reports correspondence and analysis related to group activity
- Lead facilitate and participate in meetings as needed
- Manage and forecast group room blocks
- Manager and forecast group and catered events in Delphi system
