Duties
Under direction the Secretary II performs varied clerical and secretarial duties for and relieve supervisor of minor administrative duties. Maintains a close and highly responsive relationship to the day to day work activities of the office of the supervisor. Work requires knowledge of programs and procedures relating to the work of the supervisor as well as other departmental personnel. The Secretary II is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required including but not limited to: Ability to read and comprehend instructions correspondence and memos. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Effective communication skills interpersonal skills organizational and critical thinking skills. Basic bookkeeping skills. Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to learn and use various department-specific software programs. Ability to compose minutes. Ability to handle confidential material and maintain confidence.
