Job Overview
As an Electrical Technician you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients electrical equipment. Your primary responsibilities include performing maintenance coordinating activities and adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repair on electrical equipment such as valves motors turbines PD meters sampling systems and relief systems.
- Coordinate with Supervisors Planners/Schedulers Mechanical Technicians Electrical Technicians CCO Regional Support contractors and PLM to schedule and complete work efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with regulations and company Operation & Maintenance (O&M) procedures.
- Be on call for emergency responses and maintenance as required.
- Complete and maintain current safety and technical training.
- Maintain facility records and update drawings as necessary.
- Adhere to all company policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience with Journeyperson Electrical certification; an instrumentation background is an asset.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in an industrial field.
- Valid Class 5 drivers license.
- Strong work ethic computer skills willingness to learn and a positive team attitude.
- Commitment to fundamental principles of safety integrity respect inclusion and high performance.
Working Conditions
- Alternative Work Schedule: 9/80 (44 hours: Monday to Thursday 9 hours/day Friday 1: Off Friday 2: 8 hours).
- Work in both field (80%) and office (20%) environments.
- Operate around high voltage equipment transformers disconnects switchgear motor control centers and electrical service buildings.
- Work in hazardous or restricted locations like pump rooms confined spaces and classified areas.
- Ability to perform outdoor duties in various weather conditions and handle physically challenging responsibilities such as lifting up to 50lbs.
