Essential Functions:
Maintain the Cashier System including student payments departmental deposits retroactive withdrawals and eMarket Sites. Manage Cashnet applications including adding item codes changing terms eMarket refunds home page and new operators. Facilitate end of day cash and revenue balancing process between cash collection checks and other forms of tender with the registered reports. Manage wire OTTA and Americorp transfers. IRS 8300 Form processing and tuition remission.
Review process and respond to problems related to payment applications and other transactions. Prepare financial reports and correspondence related to receipt activity. Liaison between Bursars Office and Financial Aid Office. Review and process outside scholarships not handled by financial aid. Respond to inquiries from campus departments.
Receive ACH information apply funds to appropriate ledger accounts and perform reconciliation of departmental and daily deposits. Assist with bank adjustments returned physical checks and electronic banking file transfers. Setup tables and run processing as part of daily and term routines.
Education:
Requires a relevant bachelors degree.
Licenses/Certifications/Requirements:
None.
Experience:
Requires up to 2 years experience in cash handling. Strong communication and customer service skills.
Leadership:
Direct supervision and evaluation of work as a first-line supervisor over non-exempt staff including hiring or functional guidance and/or project leadership over exempt staff engaged in activities of a recurring basis.
Physical Requirements:
Job is physically comfortable; individual is normally seated and has discretion about walking standing etc. May occasionally lift very lightweight objects.
Working Conditions:
Standard working environment with possible minor inconveniences due to occasional noise crowded working conditions and/or minor heating/cooling or ventilation problems. Near continuous use (>70% of the time) of a video display terminal.
