About the Role
Were hiring an Engineering Manager for Security Engineering to build and lead Floats security function as we scale.
This role blends hands-on security engineering (60%) with people leadership and cross-functional enablement. Youll unify security operations application security and infrastructure security into a single pragmatic organization that enables Float to move fast and safely.
What Youll Be Responsible For
Lead and grow Floats security engineering team.
Own detection response cloud security and secure SDLC practices.
Build security tooling and automation.
Partner with Engineering to embed security into workflows.
Support external trust conversations with customers and auditors.
Contribute directly to security systems and tooling.
About You

Hands-on experience across security operations AppSec and infrastructure security.
Strong cloud security experience (AWS).
Experience securing CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows.
Comfort operating in high-trust high-risk environments.
Ability to communicate security trade-offs clearly.
