POSITION SUMMARY
TheEnergy and SustainabilityInternwillsupport ESRTs sustainability strategy through data analytics reporting and program development. This roleassistsin creating dashboards and innovative KPIs managing sustainability data and coordinating key initiatives related to energy water wasteindoor environmental quality and community and vendor engagement. The intern will collaborate with property management teams and tenants to advance performance from design through ongoing operationsparticipatein project meetings and contribute to research certifications investor reporting and other strategic sustainability will be assigned to support the broader goals of the Energy and Sustainability team.
Full-time:40 hoursper weekfromJune 1st 2026untilAugust 7th 2026

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • SupportEnergy and Sustainabilityreporting efforts develop reports dashboards andidentifyinnovative sustainability KPIs and metrics tomonitorand drive progress
    • Support development and tracking of keyEnergy and Sustainabilityprograms including vendor engagement community engagement humancapitaland training
    • Support with property management and tenant engagement for energy water wasteIEQmanagement from design through continuous operation
    • Assist the Energy and Sustainability team withdata management and analytics
    • Attend project meetings with members ofthe Energyand Sustainabilityteam
    • Assistwith sustainability initiativesresearchand reporting
    • Assistwith certificationsinvestoranalyticsand reporting
    • Additionalprojects as directed

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • A Junior enrolled in a four-year or five-year undergraduate program in the graduating class of 2027is preferred
    • An undergraduateprogram related to engineering or environmental science is preferred
    • Certificationrelated to sustainabilityreportingsuch as theGlobal Reporting Initiative(GRI)LEEDGreen Associateis preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

$22.50 - $22.50 an hour
Salary is based on several factors including but not limited to education work experience job location size of property where applicable and/or addition to your base salary ESRT provides discretionary annual bonuses.
