Job Summary
Community Resource Network of Floridais seekinga compassionatedependable driver to join our team. Our drivers transport Adults with developmental disabilities to day programs volunteer positions and community a Driver you will play a vital role in helping individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities by assuring the safe transportation to and from their designated locations.
Our drivers will be driving a Ford HD Transit van. Each van is equipped with camera system and GPS Tracking.
Hours will be based on route assigned. A typical day shift would always be a split AM/PM timeframe for drop off and pick (specific start and end times may vary by day depending on route) 6:00 a.m. - 10:00a.m. and then 2:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. No weekends no holidays! A typical work week could range from 36-40 hours perweek. Upon occasion there may be an opportunity for additional hours to assist with outings or special events.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with passengers.
- Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the individuals.
- Ensure vehicle is operated in compliance with applicable traffic regulations ordinances and laws in the jurisdiction in which being operated.
- Inspect vehicle to identify needed maintenance.
- Sanitizeand clean vehicles daily following routes removing any trash and/or debris.
- Ensure individuals are accounted for and transportation logs are completed daily.
- Assist each passenger in boarding and departingthe vehicle ensuringthat they have entered their destination safely.
- Ensure that individuals are wearing their masks when boarding the vehicle.
Additional information:
Candidates must be comfortable working with Individuals with Developmental Disabilities. Some of the people we serve may also have physical limitations that require assistance getting on and off the van.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass level-2 background check & drug screening.
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid Florida drivers license
- Clean driving record- no drug or alcohol related offenses
- Must be able to lift bend stretch.
- Demonstrates patience and compassion.
