Job Summary
Job Title: Radiation Therapist Contract
Location: New York NY 10029
Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Hours: 40 Hours/Week (8-hour shifts)
Pay Rate: $40 $42/hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Radiation Therapist Contractfor an exciting job in New York NY.
Responsibilities
Accurately set up patients and administer prescribed radiation treatments
Verify and interpret port and beam images to ensure treatment precision
Maintain accurate daily treatment records and perform routine chart checks
Conduct daily QA and safety checks on treatment machines
Prepare treatment rooms equipment and immobilization devices
Monitor patient condition and promptly report changes or concerns
Identify and report equipment malfunctions
Explain procedures clearly while maintaining patient comfort and dignity
Maintain clear audio/visual communication with patients during treatment
Assist with training and evaluating radiation therapy students as needed
Participate in chart rounds team meetings and training sessions
Maintain a clean organized and fully stocked treatment environment
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in therapeutic radiation therapy
Varian TrueBeam and MOSAIQ EMR experience (Required)
Strong knowledge of treatment planning beam verification and radiation safety protocols
Ability to perform basic dose calculations using approved treatment software
Education & Certification
Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiation Therapy program
ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy (Required)
Active New York State License (Required)
Minimum 2 years of recent experience preferred
