Essential Responsibilities
Handle overnight admissions and cross-cover cases
Provide rapid assessment and management of acute inpatient issues
Maintain clinical oversight of all inpatient units during night shifts
Collaborate with nurses and consult with on-call specialists when required
Ensure accurate timely EMR documentation
Conduct morning handoff to day hospitalist team
Participate in patient safety quality initiatives and team-based care programs
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Eligible for Connecticut state medical licensure
Nocturnist or hospitalist experience preferred; fresh graduates encouraged to apply
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
