Job Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and environmental services to ensure a clean safe sanitary and comfortable environment for patients staff and visitors. Assigned areas may include patient rooms exam rooms offices restrooms hallways common areas and specialized clinical areas. Housekeepers follow established cleaning procedures work patterns and infection control standards in compliance with Trinity Health policies and applicable regulations including the Exposure Control Plan for bloodborne pathogens.

Licenses and Certifications Required
  • None required.

Educational Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Experience Requirements
  • Prior housekeeping healthcare or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.

Special Skills or Training Requirements
  • Ability to follow instructions work independently or as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff patients and visitors.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods materials and equipment is helpful.
