Job Summary

The Social Worker will provide direct support to individuals and families within the Jewish community who are facing significant personal or safety related challenges. This includes conducting intake assessments evaluating needs developing safety and support plans providing counseling completing applications for financial assistance and referring clients to legal housing and community resources as needed.

This role also involves culturally sensitive community outreach collaborating with partner agencies and engaging with community organizations to increase awareness of available services. The ideal candidate is compassionate organized able to manage a large caseload and comfortable working in a high demand emotionally complex environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and identify client needs

Provide crisis support develop safety plans and offer short term counseling

Assist clients with applications for housing benefits and financial support

Provide referrals to legal services community programs and social supports

Maintain timely documentation and manage caseload in Salesforce

Build relationships with community organizations and partner agencies

Participate in educational workshops and community outreach efforts

Provide individual and group psychotherapy as appropriate

Attend team meetings trainings and represent the organization at external forums

Supervise MSW interns when applicable

Qualifications:

LMSW LCSW or LMHC required

Experience working with individuals facing a variety of personal or safety related challenges

Prior extensive experience working with the Orthodox Jewish community required

Strong counseling assessment and crisis intervention skills

Ability to work sensitively across diverse populations

Excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills

Proficient computer skills; Salesforce experience a plus

Yiddish or Hebrew language skills preferred
