The Oregon Department of Justices Civil Enforcement Division is seeking a seasoned project manager to join our team as the Civil Enforcement Project Administrator (Project Manager 3). The Civil Enforcement Division is the civil law enforcement arm of the Department of Justice. Its purpose is to represent the interest of the state in regulating conduct seeking affirmative civil remedies or recovering money. There are approximately 150 employees in the division. This position may be filled in Portland Eugene or Salem and is eligible for hybrid remote work.

This role will lead projects and strategic initiatives that are critical to carry out the divisions mission and necessary for improvement. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with Civil Enforcement Division and agency leaders and will serve as a strategic partner to implement agency expectations and initiatives. Emphasis for this position is with the leadership development and execution of strategic initiatives. If you have a passion for collaborating and finding solutions this role is for you.

What You Will Do (in part)

  • Identify issues and areas for improvement within the Civil Enforcement Division use problem solving skills to recommend strategies and options and formulate implementation plans.

  • Meet with Civil Enforcement Division managers attorneys and staff to gather information about business operations and needs. Identify areas of cross-collaboration among the division.

  • Develop project plans timelines and deliverables ensuring alignment with business objections. Create detailed project schedules and track progress. Identify resources. Directly manage assigned projects according to established project management standards.

  • Plan and develop strategic communications to keep division staff informed of initiatives and policy priorities. Develop guidance resources to include but not limited to training materials data reports and dashboards and other similar supporting documents

  • Ensure clear and effective communication including executives team members and external partners.

  • Design and oversee collection of program data and reporting metrics for on-going program monitoring legislative reporting and budget process.

  • Coordinate across agency to evaluate and recommend improvements to administrative management of programs.

  • Advise and develop structure for long-range program strategic planning to lay groundwork for successful project portfolio management.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Seven years of professional level experience related to the class concept;OR

  • Six years of professional level experience related to the class conceptANDan Oregon ProjectManagementAssociate Certification;OR

  • Four years of professional level experience related to the class conceptANDa Bachelors degree in Business Administration Management Public Administration or a closely related field;OR

  • Two years of professional level experienceANDProject Management Professional Certification awarded by the Project Management Institute.

  • The ability to identify assess and apply appropriate actions for determining when and how to build and maintain effective working relationships and when and how to escalate issues that arise to assure timely resolution.
