Job Summary

Position Title: CVOR CST / Operating Room Technician
Location: Cooperstown NY 13326
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day 312-hour shifts (07:00 AM 07:00 PM)
Pay Range: $50$55 hourly

Position Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced CVOR CST / Operating Room Technician to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room team. This role works under the general supervision of the OR Manager and is responsible for providing support during cardiovascular and open-heart surgeries. The CVOR Tech ensures proper handling of instruments supplies equipment and specimens to maintain a sterile safe and efficient operative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Scrub in and assist with cardiovascular open-heart and related surgical procedures.
Prepare and maintain sterile instrument tables surgical instruments and specialized CVOR equipment.
Handle surgical supplies medications and specimens according to protocols.
Collaborate with surgeons RNs anesthesiologists CRNAs and ancillary staff to anticipate procedural needs.
Assist with operating room setup and ensure proper turnover after each case.
Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique infection control and facility standards.
Support safe and efficient surgical workflows throughout procedures.

Qualifications:

Previous cardiovascular/open-heart surgical experience required.
Experience as an OR Tech / CST in a high-acuity OR setting.
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist/CST program (as required by facility/state).
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular instruments equipment and procedures.
Ability to work independently and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
Excellent communication organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
