The County Auditor Treasurer is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations functions and personnel of the Auditor Treasurers Office engaged in duties to include the administration of the property tax system; the settlement of delinquent taxes and special assessments; serves as the Chief Election Administrator for the County; serves as a member on the County Board of Appeal & Equalization County Canvassing Board & Extension Committee; administration of the Countys accounts payable/receivable activities; and oversight of maintaining records and accounting for the County Ditch System. The County Auditor Treasurer serves as the financial officer of the County by providing oversight and direction concerning the investment collection and disbursement of County funds; serves as a custodian of all County funds and assets.

Bachelors degree in Business Public Administration Political Science or closely related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires a valid drivers license in the State of MN.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the area of elections property tax finance accounting or government administration.
Within 3 years of hire may be required to obtain various State of MN certifications including: Completion of MN Department of Revenue Property Tax Calculation Certification; Certification for County Auditor Treasurer; County Election Administrator Certification; County Board of Appeal & Equalization Training.
