Job Summary
We are looking for a Service Engineer to be based at our Chennai Warehouse (Oragadam) responsible for the maintenance and repair of warehouse machinery and equipment. The role will focus on ensuring uninterrupted warehouse operations by minimizing breakdowns conducting preventive checks and repairing machinery/products as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs to reduce downtime.
- Maintain service logs repair reports and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor spare parts requirements and coordinate with procurement/service teams.
- Conduct regular safety checks and ensure compliance with warehouse standards.
- Assist warehouse staff with technical issues related to machinery operations.
- Inspect equipment periodically and suggest improvements for efficiency and reliability.
Requirements:
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 13 years of experience in machinery/equipment maintenance (warehouse or factory setup preferred).
- Hands-on knowledge of repairing and maintaining warehouse equipment such as conveyors forklifts packaging machines pallet movers etc.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts in line with warehouse operations.
