Job Summary

SGI Global is seeking a Subject Matter Expert with prior experience as a federal employee or contractor within the U.S. Department of Justices Office of Justice Programs (OJP). This individual will provide authoritative insight into OJP operations mission areas grant processes and stakeholder needs while supporting SGIs work on OJP-related training technical assistance and information-support initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise SGI teams on OJP structures mission areas program office functions and stakeholder expectations.

  • Provide guidance on OJP funding opportunities grant application requirements and DOJ grant systems.

  • Support development and delivery of training and technical assistance activities including assessing needs and reviewing materials for accuracy and alignment with OJP priorities.

  • Contribute to planning discussions to ensure SGI approaches reflect OJP standards for coordination communication and customer service.

  • Provide expert support during high-volume or time-sensitive OJP cycles and program announcements.

Qualifications

  • Previous federal service or contractor experience within DOJs Office of Justice Programs ideally with one or more program offices such as the Bureau of Justice Assistance National Institute of Justice Office for Victims of Crime Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention or Bureau of Justice Statistics.

  • Deep knowledge of OJP mission areas program functions federal grant processes and the justice system landscape.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting public-facing operations stakeholder communications grant program administration or technical assistance activities relevant to OJP objectives.

  • Strong analytical communication and advisory skills with the ability to translate federal processes into clear operational guidance.
