Job Summary
What we are looking for
SCS Engineers is looking for a summer 2026 intern for our Long Beach CA office. This opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience insoftware development data analysisandbusiness operationsthrough a diverse range ofclient projects such asdeveloping new applications or optimizing existing systems while giving you the chance to explore the beginnings of your own career pathin the tech industry.
As an intern youll work alongside experienced professionals on projects centered aroundsoftware design database management cloud computing infrastructure application development system analysis and data analytics solutions. You will typically work 40 hours per week.
How you can make an impact
You will contribute to our projects by assisting SCS project teams with the following tasks:
- Identifying and documenting project requirements
- Collaborating on design and development activities
- Designing or updating data models
- Writing testing and debugging code
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in MIS Computer Science Computer Engineering or related field of study and graduating by June 2028 required.
- Must be willing to live in the Long Beach area for Summer 2026 (housing allowance will not be provided)
- Solid technical computer and communication skills
- Proficiency in C#.Net JavaScript MS Power Platform SharePoint SQL Server or Python a plus.
- Preference for candidates who demonstrate a desire to pursue a technical career in the environmental engineering industry
