Description

The Department of Revenues Information Services division is recruiting for an IT System Administrator Journey Level to join our ATLAS Management Program (AMP). This program supports the agencys core Automated Tax and Licensing Administration System (ATLAS) a mission-critical platform for tax and licensing operations.


This position provides continuous technical support for the GenTax application across all ATLAS production and non-production environments. Youll work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure system integrity resolve infrastructure and application issues and support complex implementations and migrations.


As a key technical contributor youll collaborate across diverse technical areas and play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the ATLAS environment.

Duties

As the ATLAS System Administrator you will:

  • Monitor application performance data integrity and resolve issues across GenTax environments.
  • Perform maintenance and implement improvements to ATLAS infrastructure (file servers application servers web servers databases).
  • Support batch processing migrations and security configurations.
  • Provide database support including schema maintenance performance tuning and backup/recovery.
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve environment-specific issues and support workstation setup.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Lead or contribute to technical requirements sessions and project planning.

Qualifications

An individual applying for this position must demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Experience in IT systems development database administration or system administration using industry-standard practices.
  • Experience leading or supervising development staff with responsibility for production systems
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server and programming languages such as C#.
  • Strong understanding of Windows technologies network concepts and .
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex application and network issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.


Preference may be granted to applicants who possess:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supporting or configuring GenTax.
  • Vendor certifications such as MCP CCNA or MCSE.
