Job Summary: The SAP BusinessObjects Administrator is responsible for managing maintaining and supporting SAP BO BI platform environments. This role focuses on platform administration security performance optimization scheduling and incident management across QA UAT and Production systems. The administrator will work closely with cross-functional infrastructure and application teams to ensure system stability compliance and efficient report delivery while also maintaining documentation and supporting governance standards.

Platform Administration :

Install configure and upgrade SAP BusinessObjects (BI 4.x) and SAP BODS environments

Administer CMC manage users groups roles and access levels

Perform system health checks monitoring and performance tuning

Manage BO and DS services

38 years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects Administration

Security & Access Management

Manage authentication (AD Enterprise)

Provision users and map AD groups to BO roles

Ensure role-based access and compliance with security standards

Performance & Troubleshooting

Monitor BO performance and troubleshoot issues related to WebI scheduling and report execution

Weekend maintenance activities including perform cache cleanup server restarts and rolling restarts as needed

Analyze logs and work with SAP support to resolve incidents

Scheduling & Publishing

Manage report scheduling and bursting (InfoBurst or native BO)

Troubleshoot failed schedules and performance issues

Monitor job queues and system capacity

Change & Incident Management

Support incidents service requests and problem management

Participate in change management (CRs RITMs) and production deployments

Coordinate with Basis DB OS Network and WAF teams

Perform routine maintenance activities (patching support upgrades DR testing)

Support QA UAT and Production environments

Documentation & Compliance

Create and maintain SOPs runbooks and technical documentation

Ensure platform compliance with audit and security requirements

Technical Skills

Strong experience with SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.x

Hands-on experience with BO server and BODS Server architecture and services

Knowledge of authentication methods (AD)

Experience with scheduling publications and report bursting

Working knowledge of Windows

Basic understanding of databases (HANA Oracle SQL Server)
