Xylems Manufacturing Manager drives all production operationsleading a high-performing team optimizing processes and ensuring every product meets rigorous quality and regulatory standards. This role owns the floor sets the pace and delivers safe efficient and reliable results every day.

The supervisor conducts regular audits reviews production data and collaborates with other departments to address production issues and drive continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include managing production documentation providing training and development opportunities for staff and reporting on production performance to senior management.

Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership:

  • Provide guidance and direction to production team

  • Lead and motivate team to meet production goals

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback

  • Identify and address any issues or conflicts within the team


Production Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop and implement production schedules

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production flow

  • Analyze production data and make recommendations for improvements

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any production related issues


Quality Control:

  • Ensure products meet company quality standards

  • Conduct quality inspections and audits

  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures

  • Address any quality issues or concerns in a timely manner


Budget and Cost Management:

  • Monitor and control production costs

  • Identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements

  • Prepare and track production budgets

  • Make recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements.


Communication and Reporting:

  • Communicate production updates and issues to upper management

  • Provide regular reports on production progress and performance

  • Coordinate with other departments for product launches or changes

  • Maintain open and clear communication with production team members.


Team Management:

  • Understand team dynamics and effective management practices. Supervisors should be adept at balancing individual tasks with overseeing team performance.

  • Conflict Resolution: Ability to address conflicts within the team professionally and constructively.

  • Motivational Skills: Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best.

Adaptability:

  • Supervisors often encounter changing priorities and unexpected challenges. Being adaptable and flexible is crucial.

  • Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on organizational goals and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field with at least 4 years experience with at least 1 year experience as a people manager or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories principles and concepts.

  • In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.

  • Experience with developing and implementing inventory management policies and procedures.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.

The estimated salary range for this position is $90000 to $120000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors such as skills experience and work location and is not typically at the top of the range.
