Job Summary
Mitchell Technical College is seeking a Director for Marketing and Public Information. This is a full-time salaried position with a start date based on availability of the successful candidate.
The Director for Marketing and Public Information is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that drive student recruitment enhance the colleges brand identity and foster community engagement.
The Director will lead efforts to define and maintain the colleges brand voice execute data-driven enrollment campaigns (digital social print and broadcast) and foster industry and community relations to highlight workforce development initiatives. This role focuses on bridging the gap between industry needs and student career goals promoting high-demand trade and technology programs to a diverse demographic.
This position requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of marketing analytics and the ability to pivot strategies quickly based on changing labor market trends and enrollment data.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a Baccalaureate Degree from a four-year regionally accredited degree-granting institution. A degree in Marketing Communications Public Relations or a related field is preferred.
Significant professional experience in progressive marketing is preferred ideally within higher education technical training or an industry-aligned sector. Experience in post-secondary education is desirable.
Strong technical skills including proficiency with CRM systems familiarity with creative software and experience with Google Analytics and ad-buying platforms (Meta Google Ads).
Successful history of managing a marketing budget and ensuring maximum Return on Investment (ROI) through rigorous tracking and analytics.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities both written and verbal.
Deep understanding of the Value of the Trades and the unique motivations of traditional and non-traditional students is preferred.
