COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The salary range(s) represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time. While we strive to provide competitive and transparent compensation there may be circumstances where an offer is above or outside of the listed range. Senior Attorney Pay Range: $125800.00 - $163550.00
Attorney Pay Range: $95200.00 - $123700.00

What Youll Do
Whether hired at the Attorney or Senior Attorney level you will:
Draft and support regulatory filings testimony and administrative law matters
Track and manage state and federal case dockets
Provide legal analysis on tariff policy strategic and regulatory issues
Partner with executives subject matter experts and outside counsel
Prepare pleadings motions discovery and stipulations
Review and negotiate complex commercial contracts
Deliver corporate legal support (governance HR compliance)
Lead or support special projects with organization-wide impact
- Work daily in close coordination with staff subject matter experts in executing these responsibilities
Senior Attorneys will additionally provide expert-level legal leadership strategic direction and oversight of complex regulatory matters.

Education Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
Experience Requirements:
- Senior Attorney: At least five (5) years of experience as an Attorney with demonstrable and transferrable knowledge of the energy industry
- Attorney: Licensed attorney with 0-4 years of experience
- Membership in a State Bar as an attorney to be qualified to practice law
- Knowledge of federal state and local laws Licensed to practice law
- Consistently demonstrated flexibility and the ability to function with constantly changing multiple priorities
- Consistently demonstrated ability to independently handle complex projects and initiatives with minimal management oversight
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide outstanding legal work product
- Ability to analyze case law regulatory decisions and policy guidelines and provide recommendations to the Managing Attorney and General Counsel
- Consistently demonstrated ability to work as a team member in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership ability Consistently demonstrated excellent planning and organizational skills
- Understanding of compliance with and enforcement of SPP Policies and Procedures
Professional Certification Requirements:
- Licensed Attorney in any US State
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
