Position Summary
The Hourly Recruiter is responsible for sourcing screening and hiring hourly employees to meet the operational needs of the organization. This role plays a critical part in maintaining staffing levels for production warehouse and other hourly roles by building strong talent pipelines engaging with candidates and partnering closely with hiring managers and HR teams. The ideal candidate is proactive organized and passionate about connecting people with meaningful work.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruiting strategies for hourly roles.
- Post job openings on internal and external job boards social media and community platforms.
- Source candidates through job fairs community outreach employee referrals and online databases.
- Screen resumes conduct phone interviews and schedule in-person interviews with hiring teams.
- Coordinate and participate in hiring events open houses and job fairs.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely communication and professional interactions.
- Manage applicant tracking system (ATS) records and ensure compliance with hiring policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with HR and operations to ensure smooth onboarding and orientation for new hires.
- Track and report on recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill source effectiveness and candidate pipeline health.
- Maintain strong relationships with local workforce development agencies schools and community organizations.
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in high-volume recruiting preferably in a manufacturing logistics or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (e.g. Workday iCIMS Taleo) and sourcing tools.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience with community outreach and workforce development programs.
- Knowledge of employment laws and hiring compliance.
- Passion for candidate experience and talent engagement.
